The RAF in Suffolk

277 Squadron operated out of MH for over two years from December 22nd 1941 until October 5th 1944, this was in the form of a detachment of Walrus Amphibians, I do believe that at least a Lysander was used as a spotter aircraft in locating downed aircrew in the North Sea, this article appeared in The Daily Sketch in recognition of picking up the 100th downed airman.
